Daimler in for work

Hi, it's Jonathan at Cotswold classic car restorations and I just want to quickly show you this Daimler we've had come in. It's a one-off, coach built car that was commissioned as an idea but never made it into production. I'm not sure if the colours are period. I love the door handles, they wouldn't be allowed on modern designs, would they? Got a few jobs on it, a little bit of paint work, and it's interesting. The dash interior is really nice, Really nice.

I think the seats must be original. We're doing some work on the piper lift motor and original Baker light switches. We've restored, and repaired a few of these Piper units over the years. I love working on this older stuff, I love the engineering. It's interesting how things have progressed through to now. Interior door handle, same as the exterior. Really nice one-off car to come down from Derby to see us, and just one of the varied vehicles we got on site any one time.
