2018 COMMENTS AND THOUGHTS.
Firstly I would like to thank all my customers who have had to wait patiently longer for their restored cars than they would expect. This was due to an incident I suffered where I made good use of the world class emergency services life saving skills of the NHS. I cannot speak highly enough of the professional care I received from all departments and feel we should congratulate the service more and kick our largely bickering useless political elite for not ensuring our great nurses and doctors get the funding and managing they need to do their job. After a long period of recouperation I am back up to full speed and looking forward to a very exciting summer 2018!
This is a good time of year to get any of those small maintenance jobs done to your classic before the summer as well as general servicing, if the car has been laid up for a while its always advisable to start it periodically check tyre pressures, fluid levels and battery health. Also rodents need somewhere to live during these cold months so make sure their not in your car with a new build home made out of your cars seat cushion foam. They tend to also all be budding electricians with a great ability to strip vehicle wiring insulation with ease causing all sorts of electrical issues and at worst a fire risk! Don't use poison unless you absolutely have to, general regular disturbance normally gets them moving on, we once found a poisoned dead rat inside a seat base of DB5 and the interior smell was definitely no longer Connelly! How is that for revenge....
Finally for now if there are any events that you wish to attend this coming summer that are ticketed its always sensible to buy early for the best deals and to ensure entry. With Goodwood and Silverstone classic to name some of the larger ones but also there are some really good regional shows supported by various small car clubs who all need their members to support where they can. Last summer was mostly raining or raining hard, I really do hope this coming one to be dry and hot for its been some years since now....
